AD-532 - Optimal bond, optimal
results !
SOLVENT-FREE
High performance, one-part, moisture curing urethane
adhesive.
Specially formulated to glue down engineered
hardwood floors over concrete, plywood or Acousti-Tech’s
thermo-acoustic membranes as well as the installation
of the membrane.
Advantages :
· Easier
application than the majority of urethane adhesives
· Solvent-free, water-free
· Excellent resistance to moisture
· No waiting time before floor covering
installation
· Perfect for renovation
· Low V.O.C.
· Elastomeric : moves with expanding/contracting
wood
· Pail 13.2 L (3.48 U.S. gal.)

AD-218
PREPARATION
• Keep adhesive at a temperature between
16°
C (60° F) and
24° C (75° F) 24 hours before using.
• Before installing, be sure that the surface
is free of any substance: oil, grease, dust, scaly
paint, crumbled concrete, concrete sealer or hardening
agent. Concrete must be dry and clean.
• Aggressively sand the surface to remove
any scaly paint and have a proper substrate to
receive the adhesive.
• Correct all inappropriate surfaces before
spreading AD-218.
• If uncertain, proceed to adhesion test.
CONDITIONS OF USE
• Approx. 50% relative humidity level and
21° C (70° F) on clean, dry and levelled
concrete.
• Substrate temperature should be between
10° C (50° F) and 32° C (90° F).
• Test all concrete slabs for moisture.
Moisture vapor emission rating should not exceed
3 lbs. per 1 000 sq. ft. (1,36 kg per 92,9 m2)
per 24 hours, when using the anhydrous calcium
chloride test (ASTM F1869).
INSTRUCTIONS
• Adhesive is ready to use. Do not dilute.
• Spread the adhesive with the trowel.
• Follow manufacturer's instructions for
the installation of the membrane.
• The adhesive has approximately 15-30 minutes
of open time.
• To ensure proper transfer of the adhesive,
roll the membrane in both directions immediately
after installation with a 75- to 100-pound roller.
• Proper adhesive transfer (minimum 95%
of the surface) should be confirmed periodically
by lifting the membrane.
• Light traffic is acceptable after installation;
normal traffic or the installation of floating
or glued down flooring is allowed after 24 hours
to allow proper adhesive setup.
